The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here: It's NYC Marathon RACE WEEK. That means there's tons of fun and free events going on in the city all week long, not to mention some seriously fun marathon tailgating opportunities. Got family and friends in town visiting you? We made sure to include some activities you can all enjoy together this week without tiring our your race legs before the marathon. And the best spots for them to cheer you on with hilarious marathon cheering signs along the course.
Remember, this is not the week to try a ton of new exercises or do anything super out of the ordinary (here's our post about 7 things NEVER to do before a marathon!). If you don't normally do yoga, do not go to these yoga classes. DO send you friends and family (especially that annoyingly flexible little sister we all have) to these things while you're at work or doing your last few shakeout runs. And the night before the marathon remember, if, ahem, hanky panky is going to mess with your race mojo, then don't...but if it won't, our runners SEX survey says: JUST DO IT.
Also, DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS AND GPS WATCHES! As luck would have it, Sunday is the end of daylight savings time. As a reminder, that's the one when you get an extra hour of sleep. You'll want it, trust us.
All marathon week long:
