5th Avenue Mile, Saturday, September 3rd, 8:00am-1:00pm
An iconic New York City running event, the 5th Av Mile will be held over Labor Day weekend this year. You can still register! Or, if you're suffering from Olympic withdrawal like us, come out and watch over 18 Olympians compete, including Emma Coburn, Jenny Simpson, and Matthew Centrowitz, this weekend. #NB5thAveMile
Ragnar Trail Run Club, Wednesday, September 7th and 21st, 7:00pm-8:30pm in Prospect Park
Running a trail Ragnar this year? Come out to this free trail running session (thanks, REI!) in Prospect Park to build your base trail mileage and meet other trail runners in your 'hood. The run is free but be sure to register here.
Training for a fall marathon like NYC, Chitown, or Philly? Run 18 miles with all those other crazy people training for fall marathons with water stations and aid stations galore. Ragnar Trail Wawayanda Lake, Friday, September 30th-Saturday, October 1st in Wawayanda State Park, New Jersey
Venture over to New Jersey for a weekend of camping and trail running fun. Costumes are optional but very encouraged. Registration for new teams is closed but many teams still need alternates and volunteers; sometimes the best way to get into a Ragnar is to be an alternate! Be sure to step up your cross-training to prep for the trails just in case someone drops out during the race and you have to take their place. And don't forget an outdoorsy book for all the downtime.
